What India Needs to Improve Its Economy

By Aditi Singh

My country India has a population of 1.39 billion. The development of this country is not growing as fast as the population and poverty is touching the sky. Our country is preparing an army of unemployed day by day.

The reason for India's economic weakness is the government. Due to Covid, everyone has suffered in every area, but the rules of the government have been seen to be very different. At the time of Covid, in the state where elections are held, everything would open and all the institutions would be closed as soon as the elections were over. Due to all these reasons, education has been affected a lot, students are passing with good marks but they are not getting the knowledge at all. Our government is also promoting skill development more than education, for which many programs are also being done so that people get less knowledge and they do not ask more questions. Our society is becoming  regressive where it should be more and more progressive in order to develop economically and socially.

There are many reasons for poverty and unemployment in India and because of all these our country is not able to develop economically. Here there are 1020 women for every 1000 men, but still very less opportunities are given to girls. Even today, we get education and health care by buying it, whereas in many progressive and developed countries, the public has the right to do all this. Like our country is an agricultural country, yet the government does not take any special steps for farmers to encourage them for more and better production, due to which farmers are protesting in Capital City for the last one year. Lakhs of people died in this protest, spend countless days on the road for many months, then the government listened to them. This means that the government was ignoring everything.

In my view, women contribute a lot behind the development of any country, but as the nature of the government here is fascist and patriarchal, due to which women get less opportunities here. The government and the people in the power "mostly men" never want the loose their power over women and backward castes, this is also not only a discrimination but also a situation of lack of equal opportunities.

As we know that in India religion is placed above everything and because of this religion, caste discrimination is done in India, due to which the one who deserves stays sitting and the upper caste who is less deserving, takes the chance and runs his rule.

I think that if everyone gets employment for sure, then it will give strength to our economy as well as there should be a proper low pass for agricultural society, so that production is large and poverty is removed. At the same time, if the government makes education free and ensures employment, then the poverty here will definitely be reduced. For all these things, first of all the government should remove the veil of religion from the eyes of the public and make them aware of the country's economy and poverty.
