 HGC “De-Worms” Mangyan Tribal Children

Humanist Global Charity provided funds to ‘de-worm’ Mangyan children. The Mangyans are an indigenous tribe on the island of Mindoro. Our donation provided medicine to kill intestinal parasites - the children are sometimes so infected the worms crawl out their noses and mouths.

The children were de-wormed by our partner there - Sally Melendres.

“Soylent’ is highly-nutritious powdered food; its a complete ‘replacement meal’ used by busy meal, or astronauts. HGC sent 80 pounds of chocolate-flavored Soylent to the island of Mindoro in The Philippines, where the Mangyan indigenous people live. Our gift was consumed by the children, who often suffer from malnutrition.
